1. Strong Chapters Initiative:

MFCD recognizes that when our local chapters are strong, our federation is strong which is why we're thrilled to roll out the Strong Chapters Initiative! This initiative is a first-of-its kind program where MFCD will directly help fund the projects and programs of our local chapters.

This is set up to fund projects and programs that are intended to increase a Democratic presence on campus, help get out the vote for Democrats on campus, help elect Democrats to public office, or strengthen our chapters over the long term. Preference will be given to projects that are directly related to the upcoming midterm elections.

Applications are open to any chartered chapter of the Michigan Federation of College Democrats and will be reviewed on a rolling basis until funding has been exhausted!

2. Fired Up and Ready to Go Fund:

MFCD recognizes that starting a brand new chapter can be a lot of work and money shouldn't be a barrier to a great launch! Newly charted chapters will now be given $100 in start up funds to set up a chapter bank account and have some initial funds to get the chapter off the ground.

If you're a new chapter and would like to access these funds, please connect with your Regional Director who will send your information to the MFCD Treasurer.
